Default Frederick, MD???

I was leaving work today (AOPA Air Safety Foundation) and I could see a Seminole down the ramp, as I'm making the turn away from the airport at Frederick Aviation I noticed it was an ATP Seminole.

I thought the x-country trips were to other ATP locations, did they divert? Was it any members on here?

Looking at the Real-time info it came from or is going to HEF.

It could have been a training flight from a nearby location.

XC flights are not necessarily to other locations. I dont know about up East, but in Texas, we regularly fly to other airports--I try to go to as many new airports with my students as possible.

To get to Dallas, you will definately have to make a fuel stop regardless of the direction you come from. Usually MLU or MEI to the east and ELP or SJT to the west. But there are plenty of other places that the career pilots go.

That was one of ours (but not me) out of manassas, just doing approaches up there. It wasnt one of the XC's you are thinking of, but just a local instrument training flight.

Casey,

How are things down there in Manassas working out for you? How are the hours racking up? I checked out the Manassas location, Tony showed me the office/classroom and a few planes.

I still think that's my backup if the mil. thing doesn't work out.
