You have got to be kidding me!?! Is this for real? Questions I'd like to ask Congressman Carter on each point and some suggestions for the American people to keep them in check: Point #1- If a pilot has a bad day in a checkride is it time to look for a new career? Because if that's the case there will be a pilot shortage.
Point #3- This is America, right?
Point #6-
Point #8- This combined with the first point will mean an even bigger pilot shortage. Point #9- I'd go with this if they have unscheduled elections, no time to clean up their record, no time for fund-raising, no time to back-track. etc |

I just take the Center fuel... say...15,000 pounds.... then i dial up 150 on the RA and count down. The green on the ADI right in front of my schnozz works out pretty well.

| Agent Smith | Eastbound Thai Coconut went to hell towards the end of the month (OK, it's coconut milk, not cream people!), but I think this month's eastbound is Cream of Mushroom, and West is the purely perfunctory Cream of Cauliflower.

You mean you don't eat shrimp with remoulade and jicama slaw before your main course at home?

| Senior Member | here's how it goes down: 1. I love shrimp. 2. Remoulade is OK. 3. I hate slaw. So, yes that was a bit of a stretch of truth. I know, I know.... it's a shock. Everything ever written on the internet is truth. I have failed the internet. And for that, I apologize.

I'll take my two 30 minute legs with a 3 hour nap in my private sleep room over some 8+ hr crossing any day. |

| If you are comparing Delta to UPS, I'll stay on the Airbus vs. flying Intl.. We have the same pay for each a/c, our F/O's make more than your narrow body Captains and almost as much as your 767 Captains. Our domestic per diem is just a quarter/hr less than your international per diem. Our international override is more than yours. Plus, I often fly out of my home city, so no commuting and get an effective 4 extra days off on each pairing, that means I actually work 8 days out of 28. I fly maybe 250 hrs a year. So yeah, I'm quite happy right where I am. |

Me too. I haven't flown since the end of Sept. I've sat reserve at home the entire time except for a CQ sim requiring 2 days in ATL. My neighbors probably think I'm a drug dealer by now.

Congrats. That one of the sweet deals with reserve. If you hit it right, you can get some serious time off while still being "on the clock". | |
