Personally, I'd love to hear your story. And why you're now a Bus driver.

Any story that involves someone with 20k and now is driving a bus is worth hearing.

Cheers and beers.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling it's a special bus with wings.

At the risk of MY being bashed, Lostplanetairman has a point. He certainly wouldn't be the first dude with years of experience to feel his comments weren't relevant or helpful. It's a shame that the small number of snotnoses who inhabit JC make it bad for the rest of you. I do believe that most of you are here to learn and are like sponges when it comes to posts from the "old-timers."

Just my .02.......

Could be a combination of all three...? I would like to know more about this Magic Mystery Wagon you speak of...

Are you kidding? No way I could bash you for saying that. It's the truth. Some people just need to sit back and listen a little more. As an industry newbie I hate that the "old timers" are driven away...

True, and I appreciate it. We're probably moving back to Orlando anyway, so it's either gonna be based there or commute. If given the choice, I'd obviously wanna be based there, but honestly I'm also ranking SWA and jetBlue based on a) my own experiences and b) what I've heard from people that work there now.

I wanted to work at either Comair or CHQ because of the Orlando base, and Mesa was a tragic fall back for the same reason. Well, in retrospect, I guess it's a good thing I didn't go there for the base.

Good luck to you.

I personally have learned the most from the more experienced pilots I have talked to. Granted the industry ball field has changed a little bit, but still has many parallels. And I realized that after talking to a retired Kalitta FE about all the company changes, shakeups, furloughs, insert here what the issue was. And he still knew what was going on today.

I would love to hear another perspective from an experienced pilot who has seen more.

I think that there will be a 190 base out west eventually. I think some 190s running up and down the west coast would do well. I haven't heard anything to that effect - just my gut feeling.

That is both sad and unfortunate to hear. Ask her to come on back!

Wow.... Please, continue to share any and all experience you have with the community. Although there may be some who think they know everything...I suspect there are many more who are more than willing to listen and learn. I know one person, in particular, that loves to soak 'old timer' experience up!
