Gojet is hiring word is there has been some recruiting in STL the last few days. Meanwhile on the other side of the 3rd floor they're going down the list of furlough notices. It seems like GJ is always on the up and TSA going down each month. Isn't there something seriously wrong here, where is ALPA and how come we didn't get any 30 days notice and what ever happened to the furlough negotiations they're supposed to have with TSA.

GoJet hiring + TSA furloughing = great "recruiting" opportunity for Go.. Does this mean they won't be preying on interviewees walking through the parking lots of other companies? Get ya shiny jet job heyah!!!

With Foxcow's help, I've finally gotten to the bottom of the GoJets thing. TSA's MEC chair--who Foxcow described as having an abrasive personality and who really didn't get along with Hulas on a personal level--turned the 70-seat negotiations into a "my junk's bigger'n yours" competition with Hulas, and the TSA pilot group didn't have the stones to recall his arse before he did irreparable damage. Anytime you let negotiations become about the personalities at the table, you've LOST. Had the TSA pilots yanked that dude out of there, it's quite likely TSA would have an RAH-style arrangement SINCE THAT WAS TSA'S OBVIOUS INTENT, NOT SCREWING OVER THEIR OWN PILOT GROUP, and TSA wouldn't be furloughing while G7 is hiring. Instead, we have people hurling insults at others based on half-truths, innuendo and spin. All that crap about substandard pay, work rules, etc at GoJet just doesn't stand up to scrutiny, and I wish you guys would think for yourselves for a change instead of accepting wholesale what you've "heard" about GoJet because it's become abundantly clear to me that all the dirt flying around about it is WRONG, probably intentionally so, and mostly intended to soothe what amounts to the self-inflicted wound the TSA pilot group did to itself in allowing their MEC chair to screw up the 70-seat negotiations. Just quit friggin' shooting the messenger, people. Jesus. As I said to Kellwolf privately the other night, many of you people act just like my mother, always assuming the worst in the face of missing information.

| Senior Member | You should apply your own quote. I witnessd the inception and execution of HK's plan of GoJets. I know managment people at GoJets, and Transtates. I read management's press releases, I read the pre-Gojet LOAs for TSA that, thankfully, got voted down. I did all this from an arm's length, with no vested interest. I can tell you with no doubt, that while other information may miss the target, your arguments in favor of GoJets are wrong. This is a small industry when you get down to it. You hear alot more information when you're flying AT an airline (even if the information is not about the airline you work for). You will also find that everybody knows someone, or knows a bunch of people. You will also find that the interview serves two distinct purposes: a) does this person have the proper qualifications for the job, and can we vet those qualifications and b) do I want to sit next to this person from 1 to 14 days? Take the above anyway you want. You are at a phase of your career you should be asking questions and listening, and not making declaritive statements. After 10 years of 121 and a lot more of just flying, I still ask more questions than I make statements.
