Default Anyone in PHL right now???

Our 2 hour sit has turned into a 5 hour sit...our inbound plane has a wheels up time of 2 hours from now. It's gonna be a late night for sure. Still have to get down to Hartford, back to Philly and over to Houston.

Let me know where you are and I'll but you a (root)beer.

Sucks to be you right now!
Sorry, I know how you feel..happened to us a couple of weeks ago in BWI. What can you do?
Do you ever overnight in BDL? We do occasionally and our hotel is crawling with other airline crews!

Ah, sorry....different hotel..
Anyway, people watching is a tremendous amount of fun. I'm not a big fan of the CrewRoom.

Esp. not the PHL Republic crewroom...it's an absolute dive. It's nothing more than a filthy closet...right now I'm listening to some lady talk extremely loud on her cell phone to someone while complaining about family members. She's the same lady who got mad when the gate agent announced the delay out of DCA. People are funny.

Do you guys not get hotels during long sits? The minute our delay goes to 4:01 we can get day rooms. Some times it's not really worth it, but at least the option is there.

Oh man, I do NOT miss "productivity sits".

Usually devolves into, "Well, back in the day, we'd be doing a Billings turn, but noooooo, they gave that away to XYZ."

Only if its SCHEDULED for more then 5 hours do we get a day room. So we could be scehduled for a 4 hour sit that turns into a 6 hour sit b/c of a delay, and no hotel room.

If that's about REP not being ALPA, their contract is WAY better then ours in many, many ways.

Their pay is nice for the bigger planes they fly compared to us, true, among other finer points that the Republic pilots enjoy.

I probably shouldn't be posting, as I haven't slept since yesterday afternoon, and thought I would coast through another reserve day.

Too bad this didnt happen on Friday. I did the Philly shuffle and ended up there for 4 hours...ugh....I charged my ipod in the crew room, and had to sit down there for 45 min. longer than I really wanted to. LOL Im gonna start wearing a JC pin or something so when we sit around there we can figure out who each other is.

But seriously...if you're sitting in PHL and weather causes you to sit for over 4 hours, you get a room???? That's nice...but surprising.
