Default CRJ vs ERJ

Curious to hear from those who've flown them both. What are the pros and cons of the CRJ200 and 700/900 and the Embraer 135/45? How do they compare to each other?

Not to be one to reply with "do a search" but if you can manage to find a thread called "ERJ operators..." you will find a lot of information about that airplane.

Can't really compare the 7/900 to the erj. 200 vs erj do the same job its like comparing the a320 to the 737. The one with the best QOL is the best to fly!

Thats what Im talking about!!

BTW There are a ton of threads of the comparison between the two. At this moment I really wouldn't be so concerned as to the airframe I was flying, but more with the QOL decision.

Nick -- thanks, I read your post here:

http://forums.jetcareers.com/general...45-pilots.html (HELP! Embraer 145 Pilots)

Excellent.

I was kind or looking for a Motor Trend-esq comparo between the two planes, really just for my own information, not to base a career decision on. Fact is, anything with a turbine is going to be an upgrade for me!

Be a man and base your career decision on flying a turboprop.

I enjoy my daily colgan bash. I log onto my forums and if I do not get at least one I try to fish out out of the masses.

Hell, man. Make it easy on yourself. Just stop by the XJT crew room in EWR. I'm sure those guys will be more than happy to help ya out.

I have to agree. I don't care if I'm flying a CRJ, ERJ, ARJ, C-172....uh, RJ. If the pay and QOL is what I want/need at the time, so be it.

I havent found it to be the case, most jetlinkers that I have talked to have been great. Im sure they all talk behind my back but to my face they have all been more than cordial.

My comment was more in regards to the unprovoked attack on Colgan which is one of many per day. Being secure in my life and where I have been, am and are going it doesnt bother me but it certainly is a recurring theme on this site. A close second to talking about RJ courses.

typical forum post "I like flying a turboprop"
typical forum response "Yea but colgan is undercutting the world"

typical forum post "The weather in the north east was great today for flying"
typical forum response "Colgan has the lowest wages in the industry"

Sort of along the lines of me telling someone that I enjoy to run and then they tell me that a honda gets better gas mileage than a dodge. Irrelevance to the topic at hand.

Hell, I'd take Colgan but they're not hiring.

When I get time, I'ma put four bars on the guy in the back. I've been back in a Marvel mood lately, and everytime I read Alpha Flight, I think of you, Mark.
