Noticed the other day that Mesaba has started coming to ATL. Combine that with SKW, PCL, Freedom, Mesa and Comair there are alot of 900s running around these days, with more to come. The NW mainline guys can't be happy about this...

Boeing is still delivering airplanes to Delta for mainline growth and their international expansion.

| Old Skool | Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Delta folks would like it that much either. The only company that is letting us (RAH) get away with it is US Airways. Frontier didn't seem to care either, although I don't think we had any 86 seaters with them, just under the same certificate.

| Senior Member | Hey Marcus I was jumpseating doing an observation flight on one of our (Mesaba) 900s on Sunday and we went to ATL and back. I wondering if you were working that day. I saw a lot of ATR's go by.......

| A replacement jet is a replacement jet. The 50-seaters are just as distasteful being outsourced as the 76-seaters.

What about a 90 seat Q-400X, PCL? :P

Eh, I would vote NO on outsourcing it, but it's not quite the same as the jet outsourcing. You can't fly a Q400 from MSP to JAX. Its usefulness is limited to about 300 miles or so. Not really mainline territory for the most part.

| Don't worry,we'll take care of that scope problem during the joint contract negotiations

| I hope I am too. I guess the first step would be to actually get the parties involved in the same room. The journey of a thousand miles....

Yes we own the planes and if Delta decides to cancel we have the option to make them buy the planes from us. Here is a snip from our SEC filings Quote:

| Old Skool | That's debatable. Airways used to fly to 9 different NC airports out of Charlotte. All with 737s or bigger.

| Old Skool | Please do. I'd much rather be flying that 76 seater in a Delta paint scheme for DELTA rather than a regional contractor....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are not these CRJ-900s aka the CRJ-705? The 75-seat CRJ9 airframe? MAG's 900s for Airways are 86-seaters, but I didn't think the others were. Quote:

| Yup I flew on Sunday between 7am til 3pm. If you passed by an ATR just sitting on the taxiway on the way to 26L that was me
