Each to their own.
Thats every where. Including checks, medical, and ups/dhl contract stuff. I did that for almost 5 years.

The company I worked for has 20 aircraft 3 turbo props and pays far better than Airnet(got paid between the 5-10 year lear CA rate for a pa 31) has a 401k option and benifits. I saw the stability on that side also and it's not any better than going to an airline. Do they pay you during training at Airnet? Does Airnet give you extra bonuses because 1st year prop pay is only 22,xxx a year? Atleast at Airnet you are salaried so that is nice to have the garuanteed monthy salary.

Not sure where you get your info.
Airnet isn't salary, they do have a 401k program and benefits. They do pay you during training and no bonus but if your run flys a higher then base rig you get overtime.
And pretty sure that pay scale on APC is wrong, that is nothing like what I make. Not sure where they get their numbers.

Min garuantee at XJ 1st year for FO's is 1,815 per month from day one in comparison if that is still accurate.

Did a little thing like Mike saying Airnet was hiring and made a better first year pay than the regionals really set you off like this? It's just a fact, man - nothing more. There are positives and negatives to both types of flying as you well know. I don't know why you sound so defensive about all this. Mike has told you nothing but simple facts and you seem to be ignoring them.

Our hourly pay seems low - but we get paid on a duty rig system. We get a lot of our pay at 1.25 x base and 1.50 x base. I have had two runs at Airnet. My first payed 38k/ year. My second pays 46k a year. This is first year prop PIC pay.

We have good benefits to include health, dental, 401k, gym membership reimbursal, FAA medical reimbursal, and a host of others. The company pays for moves, gives time off for moves, time off for interviews, 2 weeks vacation first year, flight benefits, and a whole bunch more.

Not cheerleading - just giving the facts.

That all sounds great but.... you left out the all by yourself in a rickety old piston twin flying through thunderstorms and ice at night without glass part.

All I wanted was the facts. Mike put them up there and thats great for every one to see. Every one at Airnet makes it sound like its God's gift to flying with the greatest pay and QOL.... etc. Its good to hear the facts. I have done both and have decent amount of time in both 135 and 121 IMO a quality regional can be better than 135. How much 121 experience do you have to compare Airnet to Ian? I just want people to have a fair comparison between the two.

I was wondering how long it would take for the 135 vs. Regional piss contest.

2 1/2 pages, i'm impressed.

Sure, there is.

But we can't all look at ourselves in the mirror and say "I'm a Saint, I can do no wrong" either.

Comair is ramping up hiring again. 30-48 a month is the lastest rumot from training. We're getting more -900's, and not parking the 6 aircraft we were originally going to park. RA was very kind to us this week.

I have no 121 experience. That's why I didn't comment on life at a 121. I simply told you facts about Airnet.

I acknowledged your experience by saying you already know the ups and downs about flying for either 121 or 135. I can't give a fair comparison between the two, obviously, and wasn't trying too. You would be much better qualified to do so.

You seemed mistaken or unsure about the pay and benefits at Airnet, so hopefully you've been educated.

Seriously, read the section title and title of the thread.
Career Specific > Airline Pilots > Which regionals are still hiring?

That is the majority of my annoyance here. He asked a question and it got side tracked just like 90% of threads on here. Moderators only get upset when people get upset yet they seem to miss the big picture that they created. Much like the FAA.

And for everyone else....
Pssssssssst
There are flying careers outside of Part 121 passenger flying.
