Default Latest bad news.....

Apparently the Midwest pilots are saying that the company has announced 35 pilot furloughs and 22 displacements from CA to FO. That represents about 9% of the pilot group getting furloughed.

One of my best Navy buds is there. I'm pretty sure he's too senior to be effected.

Sadly, I don't think anyone is 'too senior' to be affected in this industry.

College friend of mine works there, was on reserve, so he probably got furloughed. Lucky for him though, he has a June class date with Net Jets.

Dang, merit,

That's as bad as getting Skyway and Skywest mixed up.

FWIW, I hear Air Midwest (Mesa Express) is closing up, too. Any truth to it?

Oh no...

Was it this bad during Gulf War Part I? I hear there were some casualties of fuel prices back then, too...
