| I have been asked the same questions a few times in PM's from several people and I figured I would create a central place for answers. I'd like this thread to be(stay) related to the title and have all the people who work here or are hired here provide the answers. Whether it is newhire info or operational things that you'd like to know or have forgot. Its also an opportunity for the people who work here to see who else is a member on this forum at the same company. Maybe if when we respond to a question we could list pertinent information about ourselves such as Domicile/AC/Position etc. This is a way every one can benifit from each question or experience. Feel free to PM still and hopefull you will know of more people to PM! Let's keep it positive, professional, and on topic.![]() ![]()

| Hey great idea. I know Ive been guilty of peppering you with all different kinds of questions. It would be nice if all that stuff was available to everyone else that are current or future pilots of Mesaba. With the limited interaction Ive had with you and a couple other people that work at Mesaba, I can truly say you guys seem like an awesome group to work with and I look forward to flying with you on the line. |

| Senior Member | When it comes time for that question, "Why do you want to work with Mesaba?" I seem to always question my answers. My answers are not false or fake, but sometimes I feel like, maybe I'm slipping away from the question asked. Is it wrong or selfish to include reasons such as: - Aircraft - Routes Flown - Location of Domiciles - Lived in MN for 11 Years - Known individuals who either worked on the ramp, or as Pilots who had positive remarks about Mesaba These are all true answers as to why I would want to work for Mesaba, but are they ligitimate answers to the question?

| I hope they're legitimate answers, they're almost exactly the same reasons I applied to Mesaba. From everything I've read and heard, just be yourself in the interview and answer honestly. If you give a canned answer that you think they want to hear they'll see right through. Mesaba's on my extremely short list (pretty much them or Compass if I get extremely lucky) for those reasons, plus their connection with NWA (is the flow through finalized yet?) and a reputation for having a very good pilot group. The only downside is it sounds like they're only hiring into the jets for a bit and I was sort of hoping for the Saab. That'll probably change in a week, so who knows. Not that I'd mind a jet, of course, but the Saab looks like a hoot to fly and a great experience. What's not to like about taking a turboprop into BJI or CMX in the middle of winter? :-) Right now, I just want to get in the door for the interview. The rest will take care of itself. Quote:

| Senior Member | Great Idea on this thread. "Joe" and "Walter" have some great info about Mesaba. I'm sure I'm one of those guys that was PMing them a lot for info . I look forward to starting CRJ-900 training in March.... Jesse
