Default Personal advocation

Their was a thread here a while back about flight case stickers. Where do you get the aviation stickers? Specifically I'm looking for an ALPA sticker for my toolbox or guitar case.

I've got a lot learning to do on the state of the industry, but I feel I've got the gist of what's going on. I see ALPA as a means to address the issues, and wonder how I might be able to support them as a non-member?

I've searched online quite a bit and haven't found much for the non-member.

I want to get an ALPA sticker that says, "If you can see this, I'm not getting paid" and slap the thing on the back of my flight kit for the world to see.

Now this is my kind of guy. Like Doug said, try sending an email to ALPA and asking for some stickers. I'm not sure whether they send them to non-members or not, but it can't hurt. You can also subscribe to Air Line Pilot Magazine which is ALPA's magazine. I think a yearly subscription to non-members is $29. Details can be found on the ALPA site. ALPA includes stickers in several issues of the magazine each year, including the 9/11 "Never Forget" sticker in the September issue.

If they don't send them to non-members, they need to. I don't see what the harm would be. Anyone that says "Don't give them a sticker, they don't pay 1.9%" should be slapped in the head.

I've been thinking of doing the same. I also e-mailed the Allied Pilots Association, and asked them what I can do to support them, and the American pilots.

To all of you pilots ... I am an airline CSA/ramp rat. If I got, and wore an ALPA lanyard for my badges, would that be appropriate, being as though I am not a member? I've thought of doing that. I know my boss wouldn't care, but what would pilots think? I don't want to look like an idiot, but I would like to show my support.

When Seggy and I were doing the organizing at Colgan, we used to hand out lanyards to everyone. I think most of the food court staff in LGA is wearing an ALPA lanyard. The more people that show support, the better. The only thing non-members can't wear is the actual ALPA pin itself.

That's clever. General public opinion/impression of pilot's= me

If only people knew... I always explain and most people want to listen when they learn a little bit. I just talk generalities to them about it.

If you're looking for ALPA stickers, I have a bunch left over from NJC'07. If you PM me your address I would be more than happy to mail some out to you.

So you're the one that horded all the stickers!

I want a bumper sticker sized one that says

"Support Labor- Fly Union Airlines
flyunion.org"

Granted, I need to make that website or something, first.

This is my personal advocation for JC on my 'flight bag'.

If I had an ALPA sticker, I would have done that, too...
