Default Minimums to upgrade at Mesaba?

Just wondering if the minimums to upgrade at Mesaba were ATP mins or if they had higher time requirements due to insurance reasons? Isn't the Saab the only aircraft that Mesaba has based in Detroit? For you new hires out there, how long have you been sitting reserve on the Saab in Detroit? Also, how many CRJ's, both 200/900's are currently on property and how many more are they scheduled to receive?

Thanks,

Shortfinal

ATP mins to upgrade. DTW is the largest 900 base. There are 13 900's here 4 200's. Scheduled to have 36 and 17 w/the usual 49 saabs. Not sure what FO reserve is doing currently.

most of this is obviously echo'ed above answers: 1. atp mins (came in as an FO got the first award for captain 22days later) 2. dtw has -900's and saab 3. fo's are off reserve at dtw and mem immediately after green line was the last i heard. that will change obviously as staffing comes up. 4. fleet information is also available on airlinepilotcentral.com

More -200s coming your way as of last week. Although our MX didn't really want to clear the MELs. They just took the stickers off, and we had to make them either defer it again or fix it.....

sounds like ur mx and colgan's mx have a lot in common. should make the merger easier. don't suppose we could get a couple abused pncl pilots with the -200's? trade you a couple junior FO's for a 6 pack of Corona. I'll throw in some limes if they know how to cook for themselves and iron their own shirts and wipe the snot from their own noses.

I don't know about you being snot nosed. You were one of the more social pilots I've run in to.

Yeah good times man. Now there's basically a whole new group of pilots that I've yet to really talk to. I've heard Seggy going into BHB a couple of times recently though.

*rolls eyes* you know that burns me. i admit i'm a weirdo, i know everyone at boston by name; all the rampies, all the ops people, Ronny and his brother that shine shoes in B terminal, all the gate agents, and all the wrench turners. now obviosuly i haven't seen any of them in more than a month but i can still call most of them by name. To not know and talk to the folks at your home base, somewhere as small as augusta, is just bizarre to me. jeesh man, if no one else, colgan pilots should know you and craig!

enough of a rant. it is new england and i understand people up there are unfriendly like the weather and i'm not some guy, i lived there for like 14 years.

I think it's because a lot of them are pretty new and because I haven't had to go over to the terminal a whole lot. They all seem like pretty good people. I guess I was just making the point that it's a whole new group now than it was a few months ago (except KB) and with the exception of him I've seen probably 4 different groups of pilots based there. It generally never looks the same as it did the previous year.

ATP mins, if you have them now you can upgrade in less than a few months as it'll take alot of the new FO's at least a year to get 1500TT (or to turn 23 like me).

From reading the above replies it seems as if it was explained that there are -200's based in DTW...which isn't true. All -200s are slated for MSP, -900 deliveries are going to DTW right now but eventually will be spread out among all 3 bases.

I'm sitting reserve as a DTW Saab FO right now. Had my green line in November which was an awesome schedule, even got a whole week off around thanksgiving. I'm now paying for that by spending christmas on reserve. Good news is that things are moving so fast it looks like I'll hold a 14-15 day off line in Jan. Anyway, complaining about one month of reserve isn't very smart considering the amount of guys that spend years and years on reserve.

Seggy was right Mesaba's the place to be. Especially with ATP mins to upgrade. That place is like a juiced up Great Lakes right now.

Meslaba was the place to be in spring/summer 05 before it became the mostest place not to be. I remember when they canceled my interview. That place is boom/bust. They have 2month FO's in class with 2001 hires upgrading at their first chance.

How did he get the 900 so soon? Im guessing its either bad schedules of the senior saab captains are seatlocked. Also when I talked to Mesaba they said everyone upgrades into the saab.
