Default Jumpseat internationally?

What kind of privileges (if any) I would have while working as FO for regionals? I mean traveling privileges, my wife is originally from europe so can I jumpseat internationally? How about my spouse?

At one regional airline there is agreements to jumpseat internationally with Delta, United, Northwest, US Airways, Continental, etc. It's probably something like that at all the regionals. You just can't sit in the cockpit for an international flight.

Your spouse would be able to travel as a non-revenue passenger when you list them as your travel companion/significant other.

In general you would not have much trouble getting around if you are flexible with where you take connecting flights to and what days you travel on. So far this year I've gone to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Sydney, and Melbourne, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Seattle about half of those in first class on four different airlines and I was only bumped once but had a backup which left two hours later.

and the lead flight attendant. pick up a box of chocolates from duty free and give it to them.

When I went over in March I wore my uniform. Was treated much better by the security personal, gate agents in Italy when i did that then when I went over in the khaki, button down look.

Your spouse cannot jumpseat.

CASS does not apply to jumpseating international and there must be a seat available. Here's the catch, a non-rev has higher priority than an OAL pilot so you're probably better off with an ID-90 or a "Zed Fare" if they're available at your airline and the one you're choosing to use.

If you do jumpseat internationally, you must be 'listed' no less than 24 hours in advance and check-in at the airport no less than 75 minutes prior to departure or the braintrust at the TSA will flip out.
