Exactly correct. From E.L. Cord to Frank Lorenzo, its the same stuff over and over again. Today, its David Neeleman and Richard Branson cutting the legs out from under the piloting profession WITH the help of individuals who are willing to work for substandard wages/benefits.

Those who will not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Your only recourse as an average line captain is to deny Union negotiated privleges (jumpseats) to those who are actively involved in lowering YOUR standard of living. Otherwise, you are just an enabler.

All you have to do is ask to see a Union Card. No card, no ride. Simple.

Kristie locks a thread. You restart it. Not a good way to score points with the site leadership....

Anyhow, it's all been said before. I disagree with you and think your wrong. Not really interested in going round and round about it, though. Enjoy your new thread.

That's absurd. You gonna deny all regional pilots too, because those jets should really be at mainline and they're lowering YOUR standard of living by flying them for less than you would? You gonna deny all your mainline brethren too, because they caved in on scope concessions, ENABLING aforementioned regional pilots to fly those jets in the first place?

Do us all a favor and get yourself some Zoloft, already.

The thread was locked, the horse had beaten enough for now.

I'm gonna put the lock on this one, and defer it to D or K if they want to reopen it.
