Default skywest questions

Does anyone know if parents fly for free on Skywest flights? Im trying to book a flight for my dad, and delta wants to charge me more than what a buddy pass would cost, what gives?

Anybody have any tips on PBS? Im trying to trick the system into not screwing me into 10 days off next month.

Anyone else keep hearing rumors of a MCI base?

SkyWest doesn't charge parents, but Delta requires an annual $50 to have a PPR, which is required for listing yourself or your parents on a Delta (including Delta Connection) flight.

Call the help line. You would get far better help from doing that than from these forums, unless someone posted a novel. I could answer specific questions about PBS, but your request is far too broad to provide a useful written response to here.

Nope. In my opinion you'll be happier overall if you ignore all rumors you hear in this industry. That's what I do.

Yes they fly for free on skyw minus the 50 ppr.

I had good luck last month with specific parings the first 4 layers than paring/line properties the last 3. Was it my mad PBSing skills? Or sheer luck? I'll let you know when June comes out.

There are a few who commute from MCI and seem really excited about this rumor.

I've paid the $50, do they have to pay it also?

That's exactly what Im going to try this month. Fri and Sat 4 day trips in the first 3 layers and properties in the last 4.

I'm betting that MCI happens.

Thanks!!

The 50 bucks covers everyone eligible. In the travel center you can see the ppr numbers of the eligibles.

MCI, if it happens, would be for midwest.

And one more thing that's really helped me with getting days off is the swap board. Despite short staffing it's amazing to me that probably 30-40% of my dropped trips get picked up.

This month's original line wasn't bad but it's getting better quickly; if I can drop a two day I'll end up with 16 off, with 6 off in a row at one point. $$$ is an issue but I figure I'll the the sen. number do it's thing, and when yr 2 hits I'll work more.

For first year pay, honestly I'd rather just have the time off.

Thats exactly what I did as well. However, I noticed that when you upgrade, theres less ppl out there that want to pick up trips.

Sounds like DEN 169 lines for 165 FOs... there isn't a reserve line to bid!

7% is correct for June, except it's on the other side of zero.
