| Old Skool | I was under the impression that these were new CRJ, not taking existing flying. Pinnacle's having to foot the bill for them as well. They haven't even announced if it's SLC, ATL, or CVG yet. I wouldn't start the bashing just yet.

| Old Skool | Eh, I just read an article on Comair emerging from bankruptcy. Not only is Delta tossing aroung the idea of selling them (not a huge surprise), but it also mentions in the article shaking up the regional feed (potential Not Good). I don't view the flying PCL got as "stealing" from Comair, but I hope you guys don't get a huge screw job in the near future. Good luck over there.

| Old Skool | That line really bugs me. Mainly because I think its baseless. What is your reasoning? Should all Delta flying be awarded to Comair and Comair only? Was 15 planes taken away from Comair recently? Please explain.

| Moderator | Here's a thought that just came to mind..... Isn't it ironic that PNCL management did not bother getting a new contract with the pilot group in regards to NWA's requirement of doing so or else lose planes to Mesaba? Maybe I'm playing devils advocate, but why would management care if they lose 17 planes to Mesaba when they are getting 16 new or whatever the number from Delta (yes I know PCL is financing/acquiring) and bigger planes to boot?

| It seems to be Deltas desire to sell Comair, I think the screw job for Comair pilots is pretty much inevitable regardless of what any of us hope. |

| So as I understood it Delta took order positions for 30 900s, they gave 15 to Freedom (Mesa) to operate starting August and then what, did they give the other 15 order slots to Pinnacle to finance and accept, or are there STILL 15 Delta 900s out there waiting to be assigned? |

| No we did not get screwed. And no Pinnacle did not steal any of Comair's flying. Remember DL chooses who flies their regional feeds. UND, be happy we didn't get this flying. We just took a significant pay cut, so us flying those planes at the current rates would have been a bad thing. We should be more concerned at what Momma DL is going to do with us after post-BK. Kellwolf, did you guys negotiate a pay rate on these planes already? |

| Old Skool | So . . . let's just say that PCL opens an ATL base. How long, would that base potentially stay open? Until the next lowest bidder comes in? Here tomorrow, gone the next week? These bases could/can close up pretty quickly. (ASA in LAX, and hopefully SKW in ATL [hasn't started yet - just hope it closes pronto like]). |

| Old Skool | I have my own theory on the pilot contract/15 planes/Mesaba, etc, but that's a WHOLE other thread. On the pay, we've got a clause in the contract saying they've got 30 days before the planes begin service to negotiate a pay rate or it goes to arbitration. As for the base stuff.... I haven't seen the ASA, so I don't know what kinda freaky clauses might be hiding in there, but this contract is for 10 years. I'm guessing if we're yanked before the 10 year mark, it's gonna cost Delta a chunk of change to cancel the remainder of the contract. If not, our management should be taken out and beaten for signing an ASA without that kind of protection.

You aren't the only ones who've had a/c taken away. Heck NWA is paying you guys money for doing so! We had 12 a/c taken away and given to Skywest to operate flights out of CVG. They actually tried it for a month then turned it over to ASA. Just like you guys, Delta owned the planes and due to our high operating costs( pre concessions) they snatched them up and gave them to someone else. Not seeing one penny for that and the pilots were forced to take concessions to go a long with it. We want to see new flying and new planes, just as much as you guys. I'm glad we're not in your guys position with the new deal. I hope you guys fight and get decent pay for those a/c. Maybe luck will shine on Comair finally and we could get awarded the remaining 900's.

| Kinda off topic, but I think those CRJ's are the sharpest looking RJ's out there. Best of luck to PCL with them flying for Delta! |

You'd better hope it doesn't go to arbitration. If it does they are going to look at who is already flying them (Mesa and Skywest) and give you the average. Nothing against the SKYW people, but your override pay is a joke when it comes to setting a wage level at another airline.

I've only flown thru there about three times in the past year. But they've got the best controllers on earth. They should send the controllers from SLC to ATL for an internship. "Airliner 123, expedite down to 12000...." "...Airliner 123, change of plans, descend and maintain 13000, turn left 90 degrees sequence behind a Brasilia, report traffic in sight."

| Old Skool | I hope I never see that at a regional airline. Have they announced who signed those first 15 (or 20?) orders? I really hope it wasn't somebody in the US. Scope is getting bad enough with all the 900s and 175s running around. |

I hate speaking ill of anyone on the internet because it gets googled nightly, but man o man. My personal favorite was getting sent around three times because of their sequencing problems. THEN they asked us to make the highspeed when we were finally able to land after we went critical fuel.

| Old Skool | And I thought Charlotte was bad. I've only been broken off the approach two times in a row and then had to Sturn down to about 300 feet the last time. Oh yeah, and it was the ONLY time I've been a lifeguard flight. Some priority we got. |
