Default Comair

Couldn't find any recent topics concerning Comair, so I was just wondering what everyone's opinion on the future of the company is? Would a new agreement with the pilot group be enough to keep Delta from selling them off?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate. My apologies if this has been discussed..........

Keep the dirty side down!

Not that I have any kind of inside scoop on the company at all, but I talked with an "acey" first officer (Atlantic Southeast Airlines) that said that there is rumor going around that Comair will go under on Feb. 19. Once again, that is a rumor, not my opinion at all.

Bwahahaaaaaaa! Oh man, that's the best rumot I've heard so far! Don't think so. ALPA/MEC and Managment are meeting as I write this with mediator Richard Bloch ( the same mediator that got DL and ALPA their agreement) in D.C. They have till Feb 2nd when the moratorium ends, and Comair can begin implimenting changes to the pilot's contract. Comair is also going to be in Court Thursday morning to ask the judge to block a strike by the ALPA and ask for a motion for clarification, requesting clarification of whether certain provisions may be excluded from the contract change implementations. Of course negotiation will not cease between Comair and ALPA as they hope to still get a consensual agreement, even when and if changes are implemented. That's all the info I have at my disposal. Comair will continue to operate and exit bankruptcy with Delta

Comair and future don't belong in the same sentence. Heck they don't belong together in the entire space-time continum.

On a more seroius note, what H46 said. He's a little bit closer to the important people in the company than I am. Heck I havent seen a person higher up than me on over a week, and that includes the three lead agents at the station. I like it like that and plan to keep it that way.

In other news our Station Manager pacled up his stuff and quit on Friday. Maybe he knows something I don't.

Feb 19th, good, The comapny will still be around to get my sorry ass to the socal M+G
