| We were out flying the other day and center comes on frequency to united and says, "we've got a couple of controllers in the back, do you mind saying hi to them for us?". They then say tell them we were able to get them direct XYZ. I guess they were going coast to coast and got some ridiculous short cut that never happens. Anyone ever heard that on the radio or know anything about that? |

| Old Skool | Yep... happened to us... we got switched to a center controller that wasn't even on our route so they could ask a friend in back (fellow controller), what they ate for dinner last night! The FA relayed the messages for the short conversation and then we got switched back to our original controller. No shortcuts for us though! ![]() Bob
