Default Pay Question

I have a question regarding Regional Pay. When upgraded to captain is the hourly pay based on a year 1 captain or the number of years you have already accumulated - for example 5 year captain pay if you were a FO for 5 years before upgrading?

[/ QUOTE ] That is correct... with one small minute correction... if you were an FO for 5 years then you are officially in your 6th year, so you would be paid as a 6 year captain. For example... on my 1 year anniversary, I will start getting paid 2 year pay. Comprende?

That is true for most, but not all airlines. From what I hear Mesa and Commutair drops back down to year 1 capt. pay when you move to the left seat.

For Mesa, that is incorrect. You sidestep across to whatever year you're at, left-seat pay.

raysalmon, thanks for clearing that up. sorry about the misinformation.

kailua,

no class date yet, I heard they were going to start a class in June, but it got pushed back to july. And i think they are getting Q400s. I have since taken a job with another airline. but If they call with a class date, who knows?
