Can anyone out there that works at either Logan Airport Tower, Boston Center, Providence Tower, San Diego Tower or San Diego TRACON tell me what it is like to work at these facilities.

Logan has a load of trainees right now, guy I work with has been trying to get in there for quite a while. ZBW I heard is a pretty decent place to work as far as center pukes are concerned. Plan on at least 3 yrs training. ZBW ACK sector is a snooze fest for most of the year from what I understand

SAN is the busy single strip in the nation. As far as San Diego Tracon, you that is Southern California Tracon, and if you get there, you are looking about 2 years until CPC, and you may not even be working the airspace around SAN, you may be working ONT or LAX areas.

There are currently 5 trainees at BOS. 2 will check out in a month or two, 1 will check out in about 3-4 months, and the other two just started local training...so, another 7-8 months for them. They are fully staffed, but there are a couple of controllers leaving next year. They will not be accepting off-the-street or CTI applicants anymore and are not expecting anyone new in 2010.
