ATO’s System Operations is responsible for traffic flow management, real-time evaluation of air traffic control services and coordination with other government agencies on air transportation security issues. We are seeking students who are currently enrolled in an approved AT-CTI undergraduate degree program to participate as an AT-CTI Intern. Position: Student Intern Business Component: Air Traffic Organization, System Operations Services Duty Location: Nationwide Salary: $12.00/hr – $16.00 per hr (approximately) Accepting Resume Packages: April 18, 2008 – May 2, 2008 (Midnight – Eastern Daylight Time) Appointment: Temporary not to exceed (10 weeks) Citizenship: All students must be U.S. Citizens Job Description: The studentselected for this position will serve as an ATC Intern within the Air Traffic Organization (ATO). The student will be involved with assisting System Operations personnel with various traffic management duties. The studentwill perform a mixture of routine and somewhat complex tasks under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or other more experienced employee. The student is responsible for proving assistance to managers and other employees in the day-to-day operations, applying basic knowledge and limited experience in performing these tasks. Eligibility: · Interns must have 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale · Interns must be U.S. Citizens · Interns must be in good academic standing and provide a copy of current transcript · Interns must be enrolled in an approved AT–CTI undergraduate degree program How to Apply: Students must submit (electronically – via e-mail attachment) a resume package (which includes a current resume and most recent college transcript), which provides a cumulative GPA for all college courses within your academic major. Resumes should include educational history (high school and college), employment history, other work experiences, volunteer experience, and any other qualifications relevant to this internship. Students may also include academic and professional letters of recommendation. Basic eligibility for the internship is determined by the resume package.
