| When you call to schedule the test, how does it work? Do they tell you when you need to be there, or do they give you dates to pick from? I would like to be able to go on either a Monday or Friday to minimize taking days off from work.

| They gave me a time frame, say March 1st-18th or whatever. Then they asked me what day worked best for me.

So are you saying to call and set up a date even if you haven't been contacted yet (besides the notice on ASAP?)?

I received an e-mail from Robinson this morning. I live in Washington, DC, and they scheduled the test for Holtsville, NY. So, it appears that the east coast is in motion as well.

Glad to hear that i am not the only one still waiting. I did contact Robinson Aviation and the lady told me that the names for the Atlanta(Peachtree City) area have not been sent over by the FAA. She said that we should be receiving our emails in the next couple of days. I hope that she is right, because i think i will be able to relax alot more after the test part of the hiring process is over with.

I'm not sure if there's a geographical pattern to this... they already did Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, and now New York... There should still be a Ft. Worth test for those of you in Texas who were not contacted for Houston.

Oops, my bad....thanks for the correction. Since I'm in FTW, I'm sure that's where they will schedule my test.

the Air Traffic Control Career Prep book is great (make sure you download the update...send me a message if you need the link).....but if anyone wants some extra help with the math section i also got something that explains the way you do ATC math about 100X better than the book, and it has TONS of example questions. if you would like it just send me a message with your email and ill shoot it out to you.(and i promise it will definately help....there was a single math question i didnt know. i answered every math question with 100% confidence that it was right) also, if you have any questions about the test let me know...i took it just a little over 2 months ago, and i should be able to remember some stuff.

I know I want to know a lot of things about this test, but I guess I'll start with a couple basic questions... On the test, how similar was each section to the practice book? Which sections were easier/harder on the test than in the book?

the following are TWO posts that i had a few months ago after i took the test...i hope they help...... 1.) the scan test is basically the same as the CD, but easier because it moves slower. the analogies test is definately hard, im not the best English student so the ones that had words i didnt know made it impossible for me. i definately think i did very bad on that, but i still got a 96.3. so i think if you do bad on that part you can still get a good grade. just make sure you are perfect on the other parts. definately download the update to the CD because it fixes a lot of problems. if you practice the Scan Test and ATST Test on the cd and can do it very well, then you will ace it on the test. 2.) the math part is actually pretty easy. even without pen and paper. after a few seconds you can definately eliminate 3 of the 5 answers. then with a few more seconds you should be able to narrow the correct one down. just take your time and you will be fine. you do have a time limit, but you should be able to do it. the harderst part is the analogies, but just do your best at it and make sure you to great on the rest and you will be fine. did your prep book come with a CD? i got the one with the cd, and it definately helped me out a lot. the scan test is pretty easy, just make sure you are familiar with the keypad numbers. the ATST is also easy because the planes only move every 7 seconds so you have plenty of time to make decisions. the letter factory is pretty easy, the questions that pop up during the test (a series of 4 at a time) are pretty hard, but try to get atleast 2 of the 4 right. Letter Factory takes a lot out of you because its about 45 minutes and it never stops moving. i would suggest taking the lunch break they give you after the Letter Factory because the ATST test is next and that takes about 45 minutes and never stops as well....if you have any other questions just let me know...

Well it looks like They have sent out Seattle, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles. i think that leaves Daytona beach, Atlanta, Miami, Oakland, Oklahoma city, and Fort Worth. Looks like we are about half way.
