Process confusion...

Ok so I'm on the referral list for Atlanta but I wanted to make sure what was next. I was under the impression that I'm now to attend a PEPC if they decide to pick me. So I called the Aviation Careers office to be clear that was the next step, but a woman told me that what I do now is wait for the Atlanta panel to come together (which she said is May 6-9) and then attend an interview. It's after this interview that I can attend a PEPC.

Is this what everyone else had to do?

I was under the impression that the initial interview was at the PEPC (after having your application chosen by the selection panel), and that you received your TOL after that. Haven't heard the scenario you're describing, although at this point, nothing would suprise me.

That's exactly my point. Now the way this woman describes it is like I'm having 2 interviews. Which don't get me wrong it's obviously for a pretty important position. But the point is I've whenever I've seen anybody mention an "interview" it's at the PEPC. Not an initial interview to GO to the PEPC. But I wasn't about to tell her "well I'm on this forum site called jetcareers and lady, seems to me you don't know what you're talking about!" hehe...

I think she probably meant initial resume REview.. she probably doesn't know what she's talking about!

I hope she doesn't know what she's talking about! She told me after they get together I'll be contacted in about a month for the "first" interview.

She's right.
Just because you have made the referral doesn't mean you will be selected for the position.

I've never heard of a first interview BEFORE the PEPC, unless they changed things... again...

the suspense is killing me now, I can't imagine what it will be like not being able to check ASAP 24894 times a day! Hopefully she's right about May 6-9, they should have the offers out by then.

Ah, c'mon... you KNOW that you're going to check it 24894 times a day during the outage period just to see if it's really out!!
