How many people made the referral list for Nebraska? I am currently on it and wondering if anyone has heard anything on this situation. I am guessing it is probably like every other state but I get no info when i call OK. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on the referral list for Nebraska, and was told that the selection committee will be meeting tomorrow. I am hoping and praying to get on there, due to all of my family living there. I live in FL now, however grew up in Nebraska, and have only lived in FL for the past 2 1/2 years, so Nebraska would be ideal. I only know of one other person, who is on this referral list (Beehive). Are there any more people on the NE list on this forum?

They're just meeting. It seems to take about a week to get notified, rather or not you're going to get an interview. From what I'm hearing, it looks as though much of the decision is based on where you currently reside. Evidently, they feel as though they have a better chance at retaining applicants who are placed in facilities closer to where they live.

I called OK City and was told that they're meeting tomorrow. I read a couple of posts, through ATC Forms, I believe on atccti.com, about location being a factor.

| But then again...If you filled out a application for that particular state such as NE they probably consider it that you are interested. When I talked to the FAA I was trying to pull myself off all referrals but Utah and they told me I couldn't do that but rest assured one way(of many, or a few) they determine where you may get an offer is location.

hey beehive they do let you pull your name out of consideration for a state you are not interested in. Who did you talk to? I had originally applied to all openings but later went through state by state with a personnel managment specialist and she took my name off of states I was not interested in. If you call the basic aviation careers # they are not much help and seem to not know what is going on. The woman I spoke with is Elaine Mccollum. I think she now handles the ESA though. Robert Anderson now handles the Central Service Area and maybe the west also. Give her a call. Contact info: Elaine McCollum Personnel Management Specialist AMH-300 405-954-7985 405-954-7902 fax Elaine.McCollum@faa.gov The other guys email is robert.R.anderson@faa.gov Good luck!!!

| I talked to "Allison" from the Aviation Careers Division along with many other phone operators. All four of them gave me that same answer. Thanks for the info! I will utilize it to my advantage.

I understand the selection commitee met today. Does anyone have a timelime or timeframe as to when the people who have been selected for the interview should have to wait to find out if they are being interviewed or not?

Wow, 2.5-3 weeks? For Iowa, it was only about a week, and that was torture! I'm growing accustomed to the hurrying up and waiting, by this point, though, so what's a couple more weeks??? Good luck to everyone! ![]()

Who else is meeting with Nebraska? I have been told twice that I am on the interview list for Atlanta. But I have not received an email confirming that. I was told that right now they are working on Miami and then they should be moving on to Atlanta. So who knows...

Congrats, Codwell! Did you call to arrange a date for your PEPC, yet? I was advised to do so by someone on atccti.com, and got my arranged, so that I will be attending the PEPC, in Miami, on March 17th. It doesn't give me a whole lot of time to get my security clearance paperwork completed, but it's much better than waiting around forever to interview. I was told that Zoe would be sending me out all of the required paperwork, here in a couple of days. Apparently, much of the HR staff in OK City, has been struck with the flue, and have been out of the office, which is delaying things quite a bit. The lady that I spoke with stated that if I don't receive the email within the next couple of days to give her a call back, and she'll personally see what's going on with it. I don't know when any of the other PEPC's are being held, or the locations of them, however it's worth looking into right away.

The PEPC is the FAA's "one-stop-shop" for getting your interview and security clearance paperwork out of the way in one day. You interview in the morning, fill out paperwork after that, and I have heard from some people that they've been getting a tour of the tower after that. I would call OKC and ask where all they're holding PEPC's and request to be put on the list for the one that's closest to you. That way, you get everything out of the way in one day, which should alleviate some of the stress, of this whole process.

I called 405-798-2014, which is Zoey's extension. She did not answer, but a woman named Claudia did. Apparently, Zoey is out sick. Claudia was very nice and helpful. I know that Zoey is in charge of the Miami PEPC (03/17), but I have also been told that there is going to be another PEPC, in Chicago, in April or May. I don't know which location is closest for you, but they are handled by two different people. I believe the one in Chicago is handled by Terri Owens 405-798-2026. Oh, and now I'm seeing that there's another one in Atlanta, in early April. I don't know of any other ones, but who knows, there could be others.
