According to the FAA, there will be a selection panel next week. Notification of selected applicants should begin about three weeks after.

I just applied for the ATSAT this morning, and something this soon would be as fast as The New Fed!

I believe selection panels meet to select applicants from referral lists (those who have passed the AT-SAT). I inquired about the status of my application, and this is the information that was provided to me. I am on a referral list, waiting for an interview...hopefully!

I'm on a "Idendified to be interviewed" list. probably the same as a referal list.

I decided to finally delurk, so hi everyone! I checked ASAP this morning and saw the following:

Referral list FA-AAC-07-08363R: Issued on 01/23/2008 for the Throughout New Mexico duty location at the FG-1 grade/payband.

• Your application is among those being reviewed by the office with announcement # AAC-AMH-07-PUBNM-05703. You may or may not be contacted for an interview. Please continue to check back for status updates.

After talking with my spouse, it seems that we'll be limited to the Chicago/Northwest Indiana area. Hopefully soon the Illinois posting will say the same. Even though I'm in the hiring process with another agency, I'm nervous about turning down a location and not getting any more offers. I took the AT-SAT at the beginning of the month in Chicago, so it really hasn't been horribly long as far as government goes. It took three years to get a call back from the other agency I'm considering.

This forum has been really helpful, and I'm excited at the prospect of becoming ATC despite all the current politics. I currently work for state government (child welfare), so I figure it can't get too much worse. Best of luck to everyone waiting to get hired!
