I know you said you were just being sarcastic, but it is interesting that a nearly 100,000 pound aircraft would be designed without leading edge devices. Anyhow, I found the following to add on to our discussion: As with previous Gulfstream aircraft, the G650 will not be fitted with high-lift leading edge devices, in spite of its greater wing sweep angle. Generously sized trailing edge Fowler flaps are fitted, featuring no externally visible linkages when the flaps are retracted. The aircraft's relatively moderate wing loading and large area flaps will enable the aircraft to have comparatively low V speeds and competitive runway performance.
