I've always felt that way about the CRJ 200. No slats so you get large shifts in the center of pressure with flap extension. (You could chip a tooth on the yoke if the autopilot is flying an approach!) You also end up with that preposterous nose-down attitude on final which isn't a big deal except that you burn up a lot of runway trying to get anything but a 3 point landing
All that being said Gulfstream says this is a next generation wing and that it will provide fantastic flying qualities in all flight regimes. Seeing as they are the gold-standard of Corporate aircraft (The Gulfstream is to corporate pilots what the Dreamliner is to airline pilots) I suspect it will be amazing.
All of this discussion is moot for me. I'm headed to school on the Lear 45 later this year. The fanciest thing it has is a nearly 20 year old Primus 1000. lol No complaints though. As long as the paychecks keep cashing i'll fly a
fieseler storch if the pay is right.
