Technically accurate, but very light on theory. The presentation is poor, obviously. But it also has a lot of interesting factoids scattered about in the text that you'd have a hard time finding elsewhere. Math is algebra level. While it wouldn't be one of my top recommendations, it won't lead you astray.

There's a book out there "Flight Theory for Pilots" by Charles Cole that appears to consist almost solely of AFNA material, but prettied up. And more expensive.
