Great thread about a miserable subject.

Actually, the furlough prospct is in the back of my mind, as we are parking one plane (I'm on it) in mid-JUL. I've been thinking alot

Here's what I've come up with (for better or worse):

First, I have an amount in my head I need to make to keep the house and feed my family.

How can I do that? What operators are hiring that pay that amount? Securing my family's needs come first, in my mind

I'd scour the market, come up with a list of possibilities, and shoot resume's out

Hopefully a job I'm current and qualled for that meets the criteria is available

At the end of the day, I don't care if it's CFI'ing, Airnet, or Emirates, job is a job is a job

There are CFI gigs by my house that pull (according the the postcards I get everymonth) 40-50k. 135 doesn't pay to bad either.
