Really? Sometimes I think it's even worse over there. Especially Heathrow last summer...I had to deadhead through there more then once. What a nightmare. You know things are bad when you actually start to miss the TSA and think to yourself "The TSA wouldn't be this bad!".
Ireland has been fairly good to us, but even they're starting to be a little stricter in Shannon (used to get away with not taking laptops out, but not anymore). One place that is almost scary laid back is Kuwait. We walk through the metal detector without emptying our pockets, set it off, and keep on walking. Not a second glance from the one screener who is also looking at the x-ray screen (when not preoccupied by his cell phone).
