Convergence Disorder
I have 20/20 vision but I have had covergence disorder my entire life and it was first diagnosed when I was six years old. What it is is a condition in your vision where you sometimes havea hard time making things one and you often see objects as double. If I try hard, I can keep things one but it becomes almost impossible when I get very tired. In all of my private pilot training flights, I have been able to keep everything one, and avoid seeing things as two (2 centerlines would be a problem). I was able to pass the FAA 1st Class Meical becuase I was able to keep everything one on the vision test without issue. As far as I know, convergence disorder is not a correctable thing, like a lack of 20/20 vision would be. I want to one day fly for a comercail airline, but I do not know if I should o further than rivate or instruement, becuase I don't want pay to get all of my licenses and ratings, only to find out I can't fly for a commercial airline because they find that I have a non-correctable vision defficency. Does anyone know what the guidelines are for this type of thing? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
