Like our Chief Flight Instructor says, 70% is a perfect score! Anything more than that, you tried too hard.


I laughed when I heard that, the basic reasoning is as long as you pass your written, who cares. You passed. The only down side is that an examiner may look at your test score and debate how hard to drill you or not. I haven't had one really ask me about my score or anything, mostly I've had them go by whether I knew the stuff or not. But as far as the flying job is concerned, I've never heard of anywhere requiring a certain score on your written. If they want to take the time to look up your written score, they are probably being too picky. You should be able to sell yourself in that interview and be done with it.
