Delta will get beat up over the next couple of years but will be a survivor. Air Tran, United, Airways are supposedly in liquidity watch. United supposedly is a mess. SWA...without the hedges...would have had the worst yields in the industry at negative 10.5. Delta is projected yields this year of 1 to 2 percent. |
Hedges don't "run out," though. They will ALWAYS be able to charge less than the guy next door because they are ALWAYS hedging their fuel bets.
