There rally isn't that much in the way of interface between trucking and airports beyond Fed Ex, UPS, DHL etc...the smaller loads like what Airnet would fly usually go plane side in a 12 ft cargo van. Large general freight loads will get delivered to a warehouse on an airport and loaded out the back on contract cargo carriers like Gemini, World, Polar etc...
As to how to get any of this freight..I start with a broker such as CJ Robinson. It's cheap haul usually but you can request airfreight only. That could lead to contacts that could get you direct contract work. |
Thanks! He wants to do that. I usually se them parked up next to the wharehouses that are right next to the planes at EWR. That is the kind of trucking that I am talking about.
