The spoiler/spoileron check ensures that the computer will recognize two situations. Spolier mode: Spoilers split more than 6 degrees, computer retracts spoilers(slam down). Spoileron mode: spoilers and associated aileron split more than 6 degrees(slam down). Both situations will trigger the AUg Ail light on the master warn. Both systems stay inop as long as the aug ail light is on, it can be turned off with the reset switch. What serial numbers do you fly? I can't think of a reason an aircraft with these systems wounld't require the check.
