The "best" way? Go to college, major in Business or some wildly usable degree. Meanwhile do your flight training at a local and well respected FBO and become a CFI until you graduate. Who cares if it takes you 2+ years to get your CFI if you're going to be in school for 4 years anyways?

You should be ready to go right when the industry starts its next normal upswing.
