Actually Caribbean is doing much better than BWIA, and I don't think the business plan is the same as what it once was. The end of Bwee was Trinidad admiting defeat, in my opinion.
Thank God the CEO (at the time) told them that there was nothing else they could do except end the airline and start a new one. The Trinidad market is vital indeed, so not having an airline was out of the question.
As for LIAT, I continually shake my head on that one. They merged with CStar because R. Allen Stanford was smart

and pulled out.
