They did not, however there were rumors floating around. They did announce that they would be ending scheduled service at MDW (sometime around May, I believe), but their West Coast ops would continue. They were still running scheduled flights when they shut down, hence all of the media crazy about "stranding tens of thousands of passengers without even a phone call!" If they were running the charter ops at the time of shutdown, I'd be really surprised if the media would've even picked up the story from the wires...
