Yes, have a car. It will make your life infinity + 8 better (I heard only Chuck Norris can count that high
).
I've had at the fortunate experience that all training (sans 1 time) was close enough it was an easy drive.
If your training might take place at 2 locations, you may not want a car until after indoc (assuming Pt.121)
If your training is in NY and you live in CA, I'd see if there's a person or 22 in class that live closer. Most times people that live close drive, and the others that come to town with no car buy beer or gas.
