Little Rock has all the comforts of a large city but is still small enough not not feel like a major metro area. It has decent schools, many nice homes in your price range, mild winters (although very hot summers) and friendly people. There are lots of recreation opportunities around, with the Ozarks right next door. LIT is a nice place to fly out of as well.
