Default Re: NW/Delta Merger leaves Comair?

Oh man. PT's PISSED about being beaten out by Mesaba and Compass as far as performance. But, ya know what? It's kinda hard to beat out Mesaba when they do our ground handling in DTW and MSP. I know we've got XJ guys on here, and it's definately not the pilots' fault, but I've seen some SERIOUS favoritism towards Mesaba flights in MSP/DTW lately. It's gotten supremely bad since Mesaba became a wholly owned. I don't know if something is coming down from management or what. It's been brought to NWA's attention (they get to pick who does our ground handling in DTW and MSP), and their response was "Make it work. You don't get anyone other than Mesaba." So, that's one issue. The other main issue is management seems to live in an ivory tower and not really know what's going on day-to-day here. I think we might have better employee relations if PT or one of his immediate advisors would spend a week working on the front lines. I'm not talking slinging bags for ONE flight then saying you're the next coming of Herb Kelleher, I'm talking some serious time in the trenches so you can get a feel of what's going on. SWA has a great connection with its employees mainly b/c Colleen made a point to get out to every station and see what was going on. THAT'S what you have to do.
