Hey guys I'm a long time lurker and this is my first post. I am 20 years old and have my PPL and am working on my instrument in fixed wing aircraft. I'm very interested in flying helicopters and eventually working for the coast guard or medevac such as the maryland state police. I've been researching the military lately and it is very confusing to me on how one would become a helio pilot. What branch is best for flying? How long does the training take? Would I get a pilot slot right away? I hope some of you guys can answer my questions. I would love to hear any other information as well. Thanks a lot.
