Can anyone that has been through OKC tell me if you are allowed a weekend to go home? I heard you work on weekends while in the academy correct? If so can a person reserve a weekend to be off? Or is it the mentality at the academy that it takes an act of God to get away from there?

I have a buddy that wants me to be his best man for his wedding in October, but I'm projecting that I could be in OKC around that time (at least I hope I will be). I have no idea what to tell him. He needs to know soon if I can commit to it.

Also, my only sister gets married on Dec. 13th so I'm really hoping to get an aswer to this question in case I'm stuck in this holding pattern even longer.
