Default Question for Approach Controllers

I have a question that I've been wondering about for a while regarding calling in to Approach Control during arrivals.

During arrival into an airport, I've been handed off to approach from center, I've got my current ATIS information, which approach controller wants to hear that we've got the ATIS at our destination airport? Is it the first guy I check in with?, last app. controller before the handoff to tower?, or someone in the middle? It seems whenever I give it to the first guy, he doesn't really care and another controller down the line will ask if we have it. Or if I plan on giving it to the app. controller just before the airport and don't volunteer it on initial check in with the first controller, he will ask for it.
I don't know, maybe the answer is - it depends on the facility. But I was just wondering if there is any standard on when you approach guys typically want to hear that we've got the current ATIS. Thanks!
