Default Next Step

Hey All,

Just returned from an accelerated training program where I got my multi, instrument rating, and multi-engine commercial certificate. My times now are 260TT, with 55 ME (and 43 of that ME is PIC). I still have to do my single engine add on commercial, but I expect to knock that out in the next week or so.

I'm trying to figure out what would be my best next step toward a flying career. I am a mid 30's career changer, and I currently live in southern California. I realize that CFI seems like the most logical next step, but I wanted to see if anyone has any other suggestions or alternative directions that might make more sense for a late bloomer like myself. I would love to minimize moving multiple times if its avoidable since I already own my home in socal, and I would hate to torture my wife anymore moving than is absolutely necessary. She has been incredibly supportive throughout this so far (I am really lucky). We are totally prepared to move if the right opportunity comes around (as long as we can sell our house in this crappy real estate market), but if I could find a way to do my initial time building here in socal, it would be that much better.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
