My suggestion would be to get the commercial in the single unless you're not going to get your CFI or do any commercial work in a single.
Most companies like to see a CFI added onto your ticket when interviewing. I know it's appealing to go and get the multi comercial right away, but going through the long process will pay of in the long run..
