Anyway it seems that the FAA may be killing the local NOTAMs. The notice that the FAA has put out is here. Seems like we will only have distant and FDC NOTAMs now. At least that is what it seems to me.
I tried to download the brochure about it but it wouldn't work for me. The brochure for the change is on this FAA website. Someone try and DL it and make it an attachment if it is worth while as I can't get it to DL past 80kb. |
The information in L Notams is not being removed. They are being reclassified as D Notams and you will be able to receive them online instead of needing to contact the local FSS. A good thing.
