I did a search and didn't find anything on this so I hope it isn't old news.
Anyway it seems that the FAA may be killing the local NOTAMs. The notice that the FAA has put out is
here. Seems like we will only have distant and FDC NOTAMs now. At least that is what it seems to me.
I tried to download the brochure about it but it wouldn't work for me. The brochure for the change is on this
FAA website. Someone try and DL it and make it an attachment if it is worth while as I can't get it to DL past 80kb.
