It is good to have a non related aviation degree only because of the fact that if god forbid there was a reason that you could no longer fly for the the airlines, military, charter etc... for a medical reason, furlough, bankraupcy, or anyother reason, you would have somthing to fall back on. The good thing about the airlines is they really dont care what your degree is in, it's mostly to make sure you have a degree for one, two to make sure you have successful study habits. If you can pass college test, than you should be able to pass airline test. It is very important to major in somthing you are interested in other than aviation, somthing you can really see your self doing for the rest of your life if wost case scenario. There is nothing wrong with getting an aviation degree, however if worst comes to worst, you really cant apply it to anyother field outside of the aviation industry. Good luck study hard!
