Unbelievable. I'm tempted to go talk to my director of safety about this issue before it ever comes up for me. I need to get ahold of the manuals for the ERJ-145 first though. But from what I understand, no aircraft is certified into SLD conditions, which has been verified in your previous thread, and in the NASA icing video we watched in training. This is really a stupid situation that is money driven and completely unsafe according to information that the airlines give to their employees. I wish you the best and just know that the majority of the pilot community is behind you...management is a different story.
